Appliance Questions

• Do you service ANY make or model?

• Yes, we will service ANY make and model of Major Appliance, providing that the machine was bought in Canada, and is CSA Certified. With respect to gas appliances, the machine must also be CGA Certified (or its equivalent).

• Other companies mention brand names. Why don’t you?

• Since we are committed to this profession, we will service ANY Major Appliance, not just the popular ones!

• Do you carry the parts for my appliance?

• In MOST cases, the repair can be completed with only one visit. If any parts need to be ordered, we have several dependable sources of parts, so your machine can be up and running as soon as possible. If a return call is necessary, you will NOT be charged an additional service call.

• Can you tell me what the problem is over the phone?

• Unfortunately, it is impossible to diagnose a problem over the phone. Not only is a visual inspection necessary, certain tests need to be performed to determine the EXACT cause of the problem, and in some cases, what caused the problem.

• My fridge is broken. Should I unplug it until you come out?

• NO! Any tests on a fridge MUST be done while the unit is at least trying to cool. Unless it is a safety concern, the unit should be left alone and running.

• How much do you charge to add "Freon" to my fridge (or a/c)?

• It all depends on where the leak is, and how much it costs to fix it. Since it is against the law to add refrigerant to a leaking system, the leak MUST be repaired first, and the system must be certified as leak free, before any refrigerant can be added. Check the links page for an explanation of "The Montreal Protocol".

• Should I bring my air conditioner to you to fix?

• NO! Our service includes picking up the unit at your house, and bringing it back when the job is finished. It is beneficial for me to see the type of installation, in order to determine if the right unit is being used under the proper conditions.

• The last guy who cleaned my air conditioner took an hour to clean it. Is that ok?

• No. Unfortunately, there are companies who only take air conditioners to the car wash to clean them. This is NOT the correct way to clean an air conditioner. The unit must be disassembled, and chemically cleaned, and inspected for any problems that may develop.

• Should I even bother to repair my machine?

• YES! In today’s economy, it is ALWAYS cheaper to repair a machine than it is to replace it.
